Discover Il Monte
Il Monte is an exceptional holiday home. It was originally built in the 1600’s as a watchtower and most of the character still remains today to offer a luxurious house in Umbrian style. It’s very secluded, sitting in 4 acres of grounds at the end of a private country road. Perfect for families with young children or perhaps two families holidaying together.
Best described as "a tranquil retreat under the Umbrian sky"

A unique experience
Enter the gates and you're in your own piece of Umbria, there's ample secure parking in the grounds. Enter the house through the welcoming double doors into the naturally cool climate of the traditional stone building; the natural stone, terracotta floors, great chestnut beams and a rare barrel-vaulted ceiling will greet you. The renovation by the previous owners was carried out over a 18-year period with no expense spared to achieve the impressive finish of this spacious house, geared up for family life. The current owners have upgraded the interior and furnishings to achieve a very stylish and comfortable holiday home.
A place to relax
Look up from the comfortable sofas to the gallery where there are more ample sofas, perhaps giving a younger generation their own area, but not isolated from the family group. One of these is also a sofa-bed in case you need to accommodate another two friends or family.
There is good Wi-Fi throughout the house and outside down to the pool. The logia has a relaxed dining and lounge area and bean bags. Il Monte has two TV's, DVD player with DVD’s and a selection of games.
During cooler months there is a large log burner, luxurious fur throws and cushions for cosy evenings in. The under-floor heating and excellent central heating will make life very comfortable here. Any heating fuel is metered and charged for at cost price at the time of departure.
A view like no other
The terrace with portico are perfect areas for eating al fresco at any time of the day, even lunch on the hottest days, when the portico or loggia become welcome shady retreats.
Look down to the South facing 12 x 6 metre family pool
and sun deck which is furnished with ample quality
sun-beds, two cabana beds with flowing drapes making
this a relaxing and peaceful haven. The wide steps into the
pool’s shallow-end are perfect for young children.
All external areas are well lit making evenings
outside safe and pleasurable.
